So what is PCI?

If you are dealing with a company that is not currently complaint, then they are going to have to comply or face being shut down by credit card providers like Master Card and Visa.
Visa/Mastercard is taking action against all non-certified companies as you read this. It’s only a matter of time before every non-compliment business is forced to attain certification or be shut down. If your ecommerce provider are not certified, your revenues could disappear over night.
So what should you do?
The good news is that if you are a 1AutomationWiz.com customer you don’t have to do anything at all to the shopping cart end of your business.
Fortunately, being a 1AutomationWiz customer means that we make up most of your credit card processing chain and there’s little you really need to do because we’ve done all of the work necessary to ensure that your shopping cart check out pages automatically meets the stringent requirements that have been set out by Visa.
You may however we don’t extend that certification to your personal web site. So you will want to ensure that your web site is PCI compliant as well.
The simplest way to do this is to take advantage of the FREE PCI scanning we’ve arranged for our clients to have, via Trust Guard or through McAfee.com
It is important though to make sure that your entire Credit Card Information handling chain is secure. Therefore, we do recommend contacting your Merchant Account Provider (and/or Hosting Company, Gateway) to ensure they are also PCI/CISP compliant as well.
